FAMILY + kathleen chambers, twenty-two, pureblood. gabe's sister kathleen works as a medi-witch at saint mungo's and he rarely ever sees her because of the demanding rate of patients mungo's has seen since the beginning of the war. kathleen practically lives at the hospital, and she's too kind-hearted for her own good, taking initiative for everyone's patients and then feeling guilty if one of them passes away. gabe is the closest to his sister than anyone else in his family, but he by no means depends on her for anything. however, he does tend to get a little excited when he gets an owl or a package from her.
HISTORY
PERSONALITY gabe prides himself on, depending on how frank you want to put it, ruining other people's lives, and in order to do that, a person's got to be cunning, scheming, either angry or jealous, and most importantly of all, entirely bored with his or her life. gabe is all of these things and more - he's a very intelligent young man, but at the same time, he's got an awful mean streak and a desire to feed off everyone's pain. he also has a short attention span, which is the main reason he's moved from "victim" to victim and activity to activity. this is the "all of these things", now here's the "and more".

the boy isn't necessarily the smartest person to ever live, but he is in fact pretty intelligent. he has more common sense and street smarts than book or trivia knowledge, but his understanding of the mind and emotions is what makes him appear so goddamn smart - he always seems to know what's going on and what certain people are thinking. this broad understanding of human mentality is what makes it easy for him to manipulate those weaker than he, and even if he has a harder time trying to break those who have a cheerier persona and friendly tactics than he does, gabe has determination and more than a lot of effort and patience, especially if he really wants to sabotage someone or something. being smart and having connections adds to the ability to conduct a bigger blow to his victims as well; the first thing people usually notice when studying gabe's academic report card or his schoolwork in general is the fact that he can write. very, very well. his writing is what most of his teachers consider out of school/career level, which is why anything he does academically was earned, thus why he takes pride in his work.

gabe is not necessarily the most friendly person in the world, but he can certainly make a good first impression when he wants to. the key factor to consider in this is that he has only had one friend in his life and has never wanted another one just to have friendship in his life - if he tries to befriend someone, he has a motive for doing so, usually to either get closer to them to sabotage their reputation or to get the dirt on someone else. this is not to say he's not sociable - he can actually be quite fluent with words and charismatic in public or around people. he's fully capable of carrying out a conversation, but usually it's got to be about a topic of his choice, or chances are, he'll get deathly bored or tired of listening to the other person talk, and nine times out of ten he's not going to be agreeable or even easy to tolerate while talking to. he makes things ten times as difficult and awkward as they really need to be by his coldness, seemingly indifferent feelings, and detachment. he also has probably the shortest attention span in the world, so the conversation has got to be extremely interesting or important, such as a lecture a teacher is giving, to keep his attention.

he's never been what you'd call aggressive, unless we are speaking in physical terms, in which case he is only physical when he absolutely thinks he's only going to solve an argument with his fists, or during sports - even if quidditch requires a lot of physicality. his psyche can read as aggressive, depending on the person viewing the way gabe acts. his incessant need to destroy everything around him that does not directly affect himself or the very few people he cares about, his family, does, without a doubt, appear as greedy and a socially violent trait. he does not normally verbally or emotionally attack a person, however, unless they have done something to betray him, annoy him, or cause him to feel pain, jealousy, or any of those other ugly feelings gabe normally hates feeling. generally he keeps to himself and his studies, what he's good at, and the various other hobbies and activities he attempts to busy himself with in order to stray away from boredom. cross paths with him, whether it was intentional or not, and you'll regret it.

the cool, placid exterior and rarely shown internal demons that reside within this boy are hardly the result from anything rooted deep within his past, especially since his childhood was pretty normal, his family pretty sane, and his environments always nothing more than positive, friendly, and very fundamental in building a solid future for him. whether gabe inherited the mean streak he's always seemed to have lying within his blood, or he just decided at a young age not to take any crap from anyone and to dish out revenge, feelings of hatred and annoyance, or just plain opinions to anyone who's deserving and then breaking the people who aren't strong enough to cope with it, no one could ever really tell, but one thing's for sure. gabe chambers is a cunning, composed, and ungodly ruthless son of a bitch who'll not hesitate to go to extremes to achieve his goals or to get a step ahead of everyone else or to just straight out entertain himself.
APPEARANCE standing at a daunting five feet and ten inches, gabe is the strikingly handsome boy who can look just as average as the next guy, but can be just as composed and slightly intimidating when he wants to be. he has never been the tallest nor shortest boy for his age, and he's always been just simply regular when it comes to size - no bulging muscles or bony joints here - which he's thankful for. his face is the most unique thing he's got happening for his appearance; upon first glance he's god awful pretty with the most gorgeous hair you ever saw. when you look a bit closer, however, you'll see that his face is a bit longer and angular, with a slightly pointy nose and a defined set of cheekbones. these features can give him a look that reads "go ahead, try me" when set off with his dark brow and a frown.

this is something that must be taken into consideration, however, because gabe frowns. a lot. he rarely smiles at all, just merely smirks, which only adds to his slightly intimidating facade, but most of the time the boy's not truly angry or unhappy at all - he just needs a very good reason to smile. gabe carries himself with confidence, a bit too much actually, and his gait turns into a bit of a strut, with his shoulders laid back, chin up, and long, slow strides. his posture also lacks discipline - most of the time he slouches or sits in any position that offers him the most comfort, and often this means he'll be leaning back in his chair with arms crossed. his lazy posture may suggest that he quite simply does not give a rat's ass about what's happening, especially in his classes, but this is when he pays the most attention - sprawled out with a good view of what's happening on the chalk board and his notebook propped up against his desk on his stomach.

gabe grooms himself fairly well for a boy his age. he keeps his dark brown hair cut about the mid-neck line, with his bangs combed just barely out of his eyes, usually flipped to the side and on occasion, slicked back. his hair is pretty straight, but with an odd slight curl at the tips that, thankfully, looks acceptably stylish on him. gabe's eyes are a mixed shade of gray and blue, and his complexion, which has been gratefully acne-free since he first hit puberty, is usually pale except for in the summer months. he keeps a close shave, but when he chooses not to shave, he only lets the stubble grow out for a few days - growing a beard really isn't on his list of things he wishes to spend time doing. a small, defining mark he's got that most people don't recognize unless he allows them to get close up is a scar on his left cheek, which is the result of a falling accident he was in when he was thirteen years old. he also has a scar a few inches shy of his hairline from the same accident, when he had glass embedded in his scalp. of course, you can't see this now because of his hair.

his dress style is simple, not too entirely expensive, but nothing from the clothing lines from generic clothes stores and the likes. he prefers jeans and a button-up shirt or a plain white tee, but since he's been attending hogwarts, he's got an entire uniform he has to wear, which he doesn't mind too much. it looks more than acceptable on him. he also looks good in dress clothes or suits - the sort of stuff you'd wear to a black tie event - but again, it's not his first choice in wardrobe. he's not necessarily one for accessories either. in fact, the only other thing you'll find on him but his clothes is a simple black and pink string friendship bracelet his ex-best friend from childhood made him when he was younger, which he wears on his right wrist. he's been asked about it a couple times before, but he doesn't expect people to understand, so he just doesn't explain it to them.

1. ummm um ummmmm...let's see, how about. he intends to sabotage someone and in the process falls in love with either the person he's trying to sabotage OR someone he's using as bait/info or whatever. AND THE RELATIONSHIP'S OH SO ICKY 'CAUSE GABE'S AN EMOTIONLESS FREAK SO. ANGST, ANGST, ANGST.
2. someone...dies? maybe his older sister?
3. he succeeds in ruining someone's reputation entirely. don't know who or why or HOW, but that person would be exiled from the student social ring for a long time, would have to start making friends from scratch, that sort of thing. and gabe would laugh himself to sleep over it.
